We were established in 1878 in Lymm by my great grandfather John Burrows.
As was common at the time in small villages, funeral directors often had a second occupation.
John was a wheelwright, blacksmith as well as undertaker.
His sons followed him into those professions and Bill, my grandfather, was a proud member of both the
National Association of Funeral Directors and the Master Farriers Association.
My dad, Mike Tandy married into the family and joined Bill and his daughter Ann in 1970, and carried on their
friendly approach to helping families.
I became the fourth generation of funeral directors in our family when I followed my parents
into the business 30 years ago.
As a family, we are very proud of our over 140 years of being of help to other families in Lymm and beyond.
